Milk – Gel Eyebrow

Screen Shot 2019-07-14 at 15.51.30.png

I can’t claim that I’ve ever had a strong eyebrow game, I grew up in the 90s when skinny brows were all the rage and to this day my eyebrows are still in recovery. For me using this Milk Kush Fiber Eyebrow Gel is a first as I’ve always filled in the gaps with the brown eye shadow and I can tell you I’m absolutely delighted with the results.

It’s really easy to use, you just brush up and across the brows and for those sparse areas use the tip of the application to fill in the gaps. Re-apply for a thicker look. The gel sticks to the brow hair ensuring that it is completely transfer proof, so it’s not going smudge across your face at any point in the day.

Milk Kush Fiber Eyebrow Gel is completely Cruelty Free and Vegan and they have a good selection of colours to suit most skin types. The colour featured in the image above is called Haze and is suitable for Blonde to Brown hair colour.

Elsie’s Attic

Let me introduce you to this gorgeous online Boutique called Elsie’s Attic I’ve been following for sometime now.  They are an independently owned  online fashion store that offer cruelty free fashion.

I ordered these absolutely stunning sandals in Champagne back in May but due to the near on biblical daily downpours I haven’t been able to wear them until now.

I love & adore them them so much I’m going to order another pair in a different colour for my holidays.

They’re super comfy and sparkly and at £19.00 and a standard £3.99 delivery charge they are a bargain. Get your pair HERE

Made out of Vegan PU leather they are 100% cruelty free.  The only word of caution with these is to be careful as the gems are glued on so I wouldn’t use them for everyday wear.

Dr Botanicals – Lemon Superfood All-In-One Rescue Butter

Dr Botanicals are a Vegan certified brand that create natural skin care products.

Screen Shot 2019-06-28 at 17.44.00.png

The Lemon Superfood All In One Rescue Butter is a recent edition to the Dr Botanical product range and perfect for summer.

This rescue butter is filled with 96% natural ingredients that are designed to rejuvenate and sooth the skin making it perfect to revive dry skin. The combination of the Lemongrass and Coconut oil smell delicious enough to eat, although I wouldn’t recommend this. It comes in a 50ml tube making it perfect to carry around in a handbag to be used as a nourishing summer hand cream. Alternatively you could use on dry cracked skin around the heels or elbow, it would also be ideal to apply as an aftersun balm to help restore and heal sunburn.

Information on the tube also recommends this product as a facial moisturiser or even cleanser, I personally find the consistency of the balm a little too thick for my liking as I prefer facial oils.

You can check out my review on Dr Botanicals Rose Facial Oil here

Another great facial product from Dr Botanicals is their Cocoa & Coconut Superfood Reviving Hydrating Mask.

Screen Shot 2019-06-30 at 14.44.18.png

Again this new 100% natural product from Dr Botanicals is like nourishing food to the skin. At this time of year it’s so important to keep our skin hydrated and moisturised. I recommend a little self care and apply this magic moisture mask for 10 minutes before bed to help repair & fight damage that can be caused by free radicals. At 30ml’s this is a perfect edition to your holiday hand luggage ensuring that you take care of your skin while you have fun in the sun.

I love everything about this brand, Kiss the Moon is run by a small team of amazing ladies passionate about self wellbeing. Their products are exceptional and it is no wonder that when the founder Jo Foster began creating these exquisite aromatherapy blends that her family and friends encouraged her to share them with the world.

It is very clear that the ingredients used in the products are of extremely high quality and the essential oil blends have been very carefully and thoughtfully put together so that it is easy to distinguish each of the aromatherapy oils used.

Each blend captivates and arouses the senses encouraging you to just stop, relax and breathe.

UV Protection Haircare Products

In the UK we’ve had 10 days of continuously hot sun with temperatures reaching 29-30 degree’s daily, this has to be a record certainly in my lifetime and yes I have to be British to be talking about the weather because it’s such a typically British thing to do.

With this weather set to potentially last for another month, it has the UK more divided than Brexit. The Sun Worshippers are telling the Weather Complainers to shut up moaning and enjoy it while it lasts. United Utilities threatening the usual hosepipe ban anytime the sun makes an appearance for more than 3 days in a row, despite there being floods just 3 weeks ago. Idiots are starting fires across the country, thoughtless fools leaving their dogs in cars and poor rabbits in hot hutches, the country has officially gone mad.

Anyhow back to beauty, when the weather reaches these temperatures you’d have to be crazy not to protect your skin but we also need consider taking extra care of our hair.  The sun has a natural bleaching and drying effect that causes brittle split ends and this can be more damaging to the hair than any chemicals found in the hair products we use.

So when looking for haircare products at this time of year I would recommend purchasing products that offer UV protection and products that will hydrate and replenish your hair.

Vegan Shoe Brands

The Fashion industry is the second biggest polluter after the oil industry and there are many factors as to why the fashion industry has such a negative impact on the environment.

One being the production of leather, often people think that leather materials are better for the environment than plastic when used in fashion, but not only is the leather industry cruel to the animals used to produce leather but the process of finishing the leather requires a lot of toxic chemical treatment, the chemicals used include dyes, formaldehyde, lead and even cyanide making it not only bad for our environment but it is also very hazardous for the workers in the leather manufacturing industry as they have a very high risk rate of developing lung cancer.

Here are 5 luxury alternative shoe companies that are Vegan and Cruelty Free and additionally aim to have the least detrimental impact on our environment while ensuring the workers who make them work in a safe environment and are paid well for their shoe making skills.

Beyond Skin are a British luxury footwear brand that are committed to ethical fashion. All products are handmade in Spain mostly using recycled materials and materials that have the least adverse effect on the environment. Screen Shot 2018-03-14 at 21.17.32.png

The Beyond Skin story began in 2001 and since then the company has overcome many obstacles to get to where they are today. Eventually Beyond Skin caught a lucky break when Natalie Portman discovered the brand and has since wore their shoes to the Golden Globe awards and the Oscars. They have been featured in Marie Claire, Vogue, Grazia, Elle, they are PETA approved and endorsed by the Vegan society.

Beyond Skin deliver worldwide and have a good variety of footwear to suit most styles, they are continuing to grow and expand their business and will be launching a mens line in the near future.
